By Staff
MINEOLA, N.Y., Dec 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) --
Torbay Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:TRBY) announced today that Designer Appliances Inc. had entered into an agreement with and appointed Mr. Scott Scartozzi as V.P. of Ergonomic Sales.
Mr. Scartozzi has 22 years experience of launching new products into the Ergonomic Computer Industry. As President of DataHand Systems Inc. he developed strategies and systems that launched this niche keyboard product into 22 countries. As COO of Computer Town Inc., the largest retail dealer in the computer and software industry, he established a presence in the Phoenix metropolitan area, establishing 2 retail stores and a purchasing division for the West Coast contributing to revenues of $25 million. As President of Resources Networks Inc., he directed growth and expansion in a start-up computer sales and equipment service company from 0 - 80 employees in 9 years. Business grew from a local to a worldwide presence, generating revenues of $75 million per year.
Mr. Scartozzi has been personally responsible for the introduction and promotion of third party products into such companies as Hewlett Packard, Gateway, Dell, Tech Depot and implementing sales strategies for B2B opportunities via Ingram and the EDI retail purchasing mechanism. He brings with him a portfolio of 150 potentially new distributors and knowledge of the market that is possibly second to none.
Tom Large, President and CEO, stated, "We are delighted to be able to welcome Scott onboard to build upon the solid foundation that we have laid. We now have a consistent and growing level of business and our belief is that Scott's expertise and contacts will help grow our business to the next level."
Scott Scartozzi stated, "Designer Appliances Inc. has developed a remarkable product range and a credible reputation in the market within a relatively short time. The marketing opportunity that the AirObic mouse provides is unique, as, unlike many other ergonomic products, it can be used preventatively as well as by those who need assistive technology. This makes it more strategically significant, and therefore attractive to ergonomic risk and management programs that are currently being adopted to cope with the increasing problem of 'extensive computer usage injuries.' It is my hope to be able to engineer a co-promotional program that will include Designer Appliances Inc. products with a major industry player commencing in Q1 2005."
Mr. Scartozzi and the Company have entered into a 12 month consultancy agreement, which is on a cash basis, including commissions. For the avoidance of any doubt, this agreement does not involve the issuance of stock, S8 or otherwise, in consideration for his services.
