It's a long story, but I sort of became Bert's oil patch expert. We talked several times. He also used BBB, because BBB was so adept at web surfing. As I began to change my opinion of GFCI, Bert grew cooler to me. Also when BBB started talking to the TRRC Manager in San Angelo, he turned off BBB. I know for a fact that Dial convinced Bert that BBB was working to harm GFCI.

There is a good chance that Bert went the way of R.G Raymond. In with good intentions but as it got deeper and dimmer they went along to try and salvage some of their money.

I may have told this story before, here it is again. BBB got a call from a very angry Bert. Dial had told him that because BBB was "harassing" the San Angelo TRRC office, the Commission was threatening to freeze all activity at Adams Ranch. Dial said he was on his way to Austin to try and stop the freeze. Bert bought that BS hook line and sinker.

I had talked to the San Angelo Manager a few times. Very friendly guy. It's the TRRC's job to answer reasonable questions. They do it gladly. Dial didn't want ANYONE checking up on him.
