IMO they will not sell it for less than its historical high of about $3.50/Share. Now the private placement makes more sense. With the immediate cash they can establish the value of the Oro del Norte reserves sooner rather than later. This will make it easier to get nearer to full value in the sale. Perhaps the new Panamanian tax laws, that will be signed into law by Martinelli next week, make a sale attractive. I think capital gains is around 10%.
