sjratty, I am not talking about NOK snatching position in IDCC secretly and making announcement later...what I am talking about is... taking an equity position at a given price (publicly known) by making an announcement. Companies do these kinds of things all the time. However, I am not sure if venture funds (like these) can be used for this or not...that's where I needed my rose colored glasses.
