Mr. Casavant has been given an opportunity to be heard before the ASC's eventual order will be issued. If he wishes to make an oral submission, he must tell the commission within 21 days, so a hearing can be set. If he wishes to make written submissions, he should send those submissions to the commission within 28 days.

This week's announcement does not reveal whether Mr. Casavant has had any communication with the commission, but it does specify that "it is anticipated that an ASC panel will consider this matter in April 2010".

Despite Mr. Casavant's apparent lack of interest in the proceedings in Alberta, rumors of an ongoing investigation into his stock sales there and in other provinces continue to swirl.
