Interesting enough, John Pentony presented the Check.

Well, technically, it was Bergamo's attorney who presented the check.

I met her in the lobby of the courthouse expecting to see a corporate
lawyer. What I saw was a dumpy old battleaxe with a crazed look in her eye.
I took one look and though, "Looks like Hillard sent his cleaning lady to
handle this matter."

She'd would open her mouth to talk and spew out foul language in an
Arkansas hillbilly twang. Bergamo's corporate lawyer came off sounding
like loud, vulgar, trailer trash.

The funniest moment came a short time later when we were all standing
before the judge and he requested the check from Hillard's attorney - and
she couldn't produce it. She started turning her purse inside out while
mumbling something about it how must be my fault that she couldn't find the
settlement check.

"Oh great," I thought, "the cleaning has managed to lose a cashier's check
for $38,000." The receiver shrugged, I rolled my eyes, and finally His
Honor dispatched a deputy downstairs to see if Little Miss Arkansas dropped
the settlement check somewhere in the clerk's office.

After a couple of minutes, the cleaning lady finally announced that she
found the check, and gave it to the judge, who gave it to us.
