Yes, I know that it will help push the price higher. But it also will turn your $170.00 into $102.00 instantly, not counting commisions.

If you really want to move the share price, wait until the ask gets thin, and place a market order for a number of shares which is higher than the number of shares currently offered.

You sacrifice yourself for the good of the market makers, but at least someone will love you, right?
