Dclarke...I agree that something big is imminent. If memory serves, the company has ceased buying back since last September. I recall that, back in the mid-90's, a company that I owned got bought out by Computer Associates and it happened shortly after the company had suspended its buyback for a period of six months. It had something to do with the provisions of the Safe Harbor regs. Since that time I know that these provisions have changed. Perhaps someone on the board is familiar with the current status of Safe Harbor and could elaborate for us.
Also, it is curious that a short interest of up to 25% of the float, ostensibly effected to put a lid on the stock, persists. I am unable to develop a coherent theory, but I have a nagging feeling that it has something to do with the suspension of the buyback. JMO
