When buying pinks... Using ANYT as an example...

this is for short term (1 to 3 months or less) buying "flipping"

1. if a stock is in the .0001 to .001 range utilize AON orders. Takes longer but ensures the MM collects the shares to fill your order. Do NOT marry a stock in this range... If it dies... put it in the TBD (to be determined) file and ignore it... ADDING to or selling at market (ask=.0001 and MM takes em at .00001 on market) is NOT a good idea. Most times there is a LARGE threat of a R/S in these cases.. Adding to this kind of position will most of the time cost you more money than you want to lose.

2. if a stock is in the .001 to .01 range... utilize the 50% / 50% order... 50% of the buy @ the Ask AON and 50% @ .0001 above the Ask no special instructions. This will also ensure the MM fills the order with physical shares but there is a chance for shorts... that should be covered within the 3 days necessary. Usually the MM in this case will buy up the bid shares and sell them to you @ the ASK leaving the AON "SIT" until he accumulates bid shares to fill you @ the ASK. This is all assuming the MM has not already accumulated shares for resale. The MM's are not likely to fill an AON order with shorts... there is no priority on AON orders to be filled.

3. If a stock is in the .01 to .10 range... This is the HARDEST to break out of and stay up. When a MM sees there is a strong surge like we saw last month and almost exactly a year ago, he will "Hold a stock DOWN" making the ask lower to help them accumulate and/or cover shorts done on the way up...

Buying in this range is recommended to be done in 1 of 2 ways by the long term investor (3 to 6 months or longer)... (NEVER consider below this range as long term)

For Mid size to larger orders...
eg. $10K @ .10 - should be 100K shares right... NOPE...

A. If you like to create BID support... wait for a large spread... say BID .075 - ASK .08... Place 5 orders for this stock... 1 @ .075 and 1 @ .076 and 1 @ .077 and 1 @ .079 and last order will be @ .08. The .08 will be filled and if a stock is being held back by the MM's... the .079 will execute right behind it...

B. If you like to create ASK support... wait for a tight spread... say BID .079 - ASK .08... Place 3 orders for this stock... 1 @ .08 and 1 @ .0801 and finally 1 @ .0802... the .0801 will likely be filled first unless lots of volume (IF LOTS OF VOLUME JUST BUY IT AT THE ASK :})... then the .08 right behind it and if there is enough volume the .0802 will be filled @ .08 or .0801.. This should create an uptick in the BID and should uptick the ASK as well.

For Smaller orders

A. If ya got a couple hundred dollars left and you want to accumulate a stock... Place a limit order for AON at .0001 above the ASK... If you are buying to accumulate... then WHY NOT buy shares this way? This is called using your money to work for you.

Finally... The MM will Make a Market for a stock as "we" see fit... YES I SAID "WE"!!! Meaning If there is good ASK support price will go up...

If there is good BID support... A MM will try to get a "better" BID driving the PPS down... from BID support! NOT MM manipulation... We are doing this to ourselves... We need "BUYERS" and people to Buy @ the ASK to RECOVER!

IMO - as advised by a good friend!
