Wrong. I've seen it happen and long ago had most of my net worth wiped out because of it in one particular example.
Rapid and persistant declines in stock price impart a stench to a company that magnifies any and all faults. Small companies with few hard assets find it tough to get favorable loan terms as a result. They end up driven to PIPE hacks or do a toxic financing. That makes the problem worse and eventually they can't raise funds at all and bankruptcy results.
While you may have learned the lesson that the stock price is only coincidentally related to the real value of a company, 95% of everyone else hasn't.
