....just concluded a vote on a number of items relating to regulating the shorting of stocks...5 SEC commissioners voted 3 to 2 to pass.....
per thepennyguru "So we will have a 10% circuit breaker. Once a stock has declined 10%. Shorting can only be done above the best bid. This will be in effect the remainder of the day and the next day. This will stop shorting bear raids."
Not sure what else was part of the vote but I hope there is more to it....that is a step in the right direction but is a little bit like putting whip cream on a turd....hope there is more
