Pulsar vs Tankless electric W/H. One very major selling point that I see is the comparatively low amperage required to run this unit. The most popular electric Tankless W/H units with a similar output require 80 to 120 amps to run, some as high as 150 ampere. For retrofit or new residential construction this means bringing in additional service. Most homes do not have that much spare capacity. (A typical home has a 100 amp service. Large homes 200 amp) The Pulsar unit only requires 30 amps.

Examples of the competition:
Powerstar AE115 = 80 ampere 2.4GPM
Stiebel Eltron = 120 ampere 3.6GPM

Now lets put a dollar figure to this: The cost to upgrade electrical service from 100 amp to 200 amp is generally around $3,500.00 (This can vary as some utilities have very large fees). So in the case of electric tankless W/H the cost of the Pulsar unit can be as much as 300% less. This alone IMO will result in the Pulsar unit dominating the electric W/H market. Not 1% much, much more.
