NBI: You should go back and read the PR. They did not list partners for the upcoming pilot. They simply said each of these barcode companies has a clearinghouse contract with Neustar (not with NeoMedia and not necessarily to use NeoMedia IP).

"This coordinated approach allows each of the participants to benefit from the efforts of the others, including participation from barcode leaders NeoMedia, 3GVision, Mobile Data Systems, and Mobile Discovery, who are using the Neustar clearinghouse."

This list doesn't preclude anyone who wants to participate - including direct processors.

There are no requirements for Mobiletag or Scanbuy to use Neustar. I do expect to see Neustar as one of Mobiletag's clearinghouses. Scanbuy seems uninterested - which is why adding bells and whistles to the basic clearinghouse function is necessary for Neustar to grab mobile barcode share.
