Very hard to argue with that. WalMart or sams is essentially a consignment shop with nearly guaranteed losses. But, if it can get a product noticed and in enough of the public's hands to bring the 'product awareness' to a minimum level, it can be worth the rape job from WM/Sams. You can look at money burn in multiple ways.

It seems like they did such a good job inventing a product, bottling/canning it, and then just threw some around to see if it would take somewhere.
