Some responses....

BlueFin: Chartist? Yes, to some extent.
If I see dark clouds outside, I like to have my umbrella along. If a chart shows dark signals, even if they are not going to completely change the trend, I like to know. A Chart is like those Dark clouds and the Weatherman report. It may signal something, and it will probably will happen...or it may not. Because others see the same thing, and trade on it the same way, many of the times it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.
Like WEBY says, A chart is right till it isn't. :)

Everyone was waiting for the $2.16 but, this morning I think there was more to it. If we didn't spring back up today, and this waited till tomorrow, I was betting we would have seen another sell off this afternoon with Margin. The price right now will save anyone who missed the morning Margin call. We shall soon see.

Harry:
Here is a link to a decent site which has a basic chart school. This page is on Gaps and should explain its basic premise. This is mainly psychological....

I hope this helps!!!!

Tiny Pine Tree:
I agree, with exception of People who may have been caught in margin calls, there is no reason why anyone looking at this chart would have reason to think it would plummet like that again anytime soon. The buyers were there today...just too many sold.

Ramseys:
Hi, Yes the gap was important psychologically to traders. That is all it is...psychological. I am curious why there was so much selling after that psychological milestone was met. The only thing I could come up was yesterdays drop didn't bounce back and today's margin calls because of it. ???? We Will never know.
I think most margin players should be into he black by now, so we probably won't see the afternoon margin selloff by the brokers?!?!? We will get confirmation of this very soon.

Waverider:
Gap b gone, The chart looks pritiful again.

Allindator: Thankfully we didn't get pressed down below $2. We should have definitely had more pain tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a WAVEY day!
