FIX THE PROBLEM

If you want to fix the problems with government there are a few basic steps we all can take.

1. Fire all incumbent or current politicians regardless of party affiliation. You must ask yourself if we as a nation are better or worse off now then we were 20 years ago and we have a horrendous amount of debt that we are passing on to our children and grandchildren.

2. Insist on government officials balancing budgets and cutting government spending programs. Government has grown so big over the past 40 years that we are not even going to be able to tax working folks enough to support it. At what point do we say "we are not going to continue to pay for social programs and government waste."

3. Insist on term limits because politicians will have to "get the job done" while they are in office and not continue to only worry about being re-elected.

4. Here is a stretch but check it out. Let the people vote on the government officials' salaries AND if they should receive a pension upon leaving based upon their job performance while in office. Kind of like a report card. It's our tax dollars paying these stiffs who waste away our tax dollars. Why should we continue to pay them if they did a poor job and wasted away our money? This would create incentive to do a good job. Heck, as it stands now they can be convicted of felonies and still receive a pension in jail that is far better than 90 percent of us on this board will ever have. Is that fair?

5. Abolish lobbying government officals.
