I don't mean to be a downer, but IF the point was to launch the site at the exact moment of the countdown, any moderately professional firm has the simple ability to do this. I've bee a web developer/designer for a good 6 years and I'm only 22, and even I know you can easily do a domain name redirect to the 'old' site files, while keeping the domain be the normal top-level domain, then at the exact time of launch, merely modify the .htaccess file to then point to the 'new' site location.

I honestly didn't think it would switch instantly at the end of the counter, but just to play devil's advocate, it can easily be done at an 'exact time' w/not too much trouble.

But no worries, I've worked on way too many projects and it's VERY easy for scope-creep and delays, that don't necessarily mean anything bad or drastic, it just happens!

I'm in long here with a good 400k, and not flipping, so I'm with all of you on the positive side 100%, just I don't want people excusing this as some impossible thing to do on the new site! :)
