Due to your email and many others requesting this I’ll post it. I want to stress however that this is from a fellow COLLEAGUE I work with and not set in stone from the higher ups at Oce. So hence I have to verify the info next week with my boss when he returns.
There has been talk here of loads of expansion in regards to the Canon Oce merger. The final designs are being done over the next few months and there have already been LOADS of changes around the office that I am aware of… (New laptops for the entire sales team, a HUGE increase to the commissions we gain from sales, new angles on accounts including Managed Print Services which is a new division addition to Oce’s office approach to manage costs of document workflow without changing the printers that are already in the environment, and a few other things and it has only been a month since the announcement in the office since we (the employees) were made aware that the merger is a definite and will be completed in a few months. I know Oce itself is getting ready for massive expansions and I have personally sold Prism software (most common docrecord). Now the thing I was informed from a colleague about was that the higherups have been throwing in free software when certain size copiers are sold from Oce. The reasoning behind this is supposedly because Prism is going to be coming out with an upgrade to its software packages and we are supposed to try to increase awareness of theproducts available by giving these promotional freebies for the past month and the last few days of January. Now as to when the upgrades will be finished etc I am unaware, however, due to the fact that Oce is doing such a massive expansion and I actually see it in action and I know that Prism is a staple manufacturer of the software that we supply to firms from Lawyers to direct mailing agencies I would be led to believe their sales will increase along with ours.
