Only speculating here:

The Web designer was probably the one that set the date of Jan 22 a production/release date(they probably release a slew of them at once, at a time that doesn't disrupt business should the developer need to fix anything). Paul has been working on sales and contracts for a while "Our goal is to focus on immediate sales as well as planning the future of the company" I would be willing to bet he has sales/contract news, however he probably won't release it till the website is up. Paul's strategic the count down on website along with the expected KFDA should lead to a higher pps (.05-.07) by Jan 22. Dollars to doughnuts we get a PR that following Monday on sales/contracts. PPS rockets and with imminent news on KFDA we hold and move up steady (little white candle sticks lol). At some point while anticipating KFDA news we sail over the dollar. KFDA news hits and all bets are off as to where the pps goes. Just one possible scenario in my imho. Glad to be here and to have stumbled upon XMDC when I did(not as lucky as some, the .008 and others lol).
