I thought it was much more polite than this guy deserves. Its absolutely clear that this guy is trying to do his best by screwing others for his benefit. And I dont only find it unethical, its cheap too. If he comes with good observations (right or wrong doe not matter), I have no issues at all.
Having said that, I feel you were extremely polite. He deserved worse, I believe, because he is trying to create panic for his own good.
