OT: Michael Moore affect?

Curious if anyone has an opinion on this. Was there a backlash to MMs message that actually drove Republicans to the polls? Personally, I think it is a possibility. I did not see 411 and only a few bits of 'Bowling', but it seems reasonable to me that his message was 'heard' mostly by those who never would vote for Bush anyhow. And the heavy-handed nature of his message turned off those that are more moderate. Of the bits of 'Bowling' that I saw, some were interesting and creative and made me think, mostly, they were so wrapped in bias (or appeared that way to me), that even if he had something relevant to say (and I think he did), he said in such a way to turn me off to his message.
