Dear Bucky,

One of three reasons:

1. We can only afford the cleaning lady for an hour a week. If we've got three hours of cleaning to do, we're gonna do the easy stuff first so she gets stuck with the hard stuff.

2. The cleaning lady will only do certain things. She won't pick up clothes, fold clothes, sort clothes, iron clothes, or wash clothes, unless we pay her extra. Likewise with collecting stray drinking glasses, silverware, socks, the TV remote, dog toys, shoes, coats, and newspapers. She may collect them and put them all into a neat pile, but that really doesn't help much.

3. The cleaning lady is really an excuse for the.... um... "milk man."...or..Pool Boy...or...

Yah, that's it....
