Interesting...

I had no idea you were so gifted as to know the minds of the majority of Bush Voters. To state as a fact what "the majority" ignored or did not ignore is arrogant at best.
I agree that for many gay marriage was/is an important issue. However, I doubt the efforts of Evangelicals had any more effect on the outcome than a number of other special interest groups efforts. Were not the democratic supporters elated over the result of their efforts to turn out the "black" vote in Pennsylvania Florida and other states. Even the British got in on the action!

Again, if your choice had been victorious you would not be complaining about the "whacknuts" that won... and undoubtedly there would those that you now call whacknuts bemoaning the whacknuts that somehow had elected Kerry.

My point to all this is that things would work better for everyone, if we ALL learned to respect each other, regardless of how wrong we might think the other might be.
what you wished for... a sitting president impeached and disgraced... would be a bad thing for our entire country, regardless of what political affiliation the president facing such a disaster might be.

Please note that I am not asking you to rethink your political values, indeed just the opposite is encouraged as long as they are based on (as you put it) an intelligent, educated, thoughtful process. Just remember you don't have a monopoly on intellect, education or thoughtfullness.
