It is true that Scott did take the back seat during TED's creation. I asked Scott during this when was the data stick going to be created? His reaply was" That is my baby and I will get it done". I spoke with Scott many times and every time I did he seemed like he was in the back seat.
Maybe now he can move forward with his "baby".
I do not discredit the previous moves made in the company, the money was not there to do what Scott wanted.
