there was a nice little snippet on CNBC this morning about id theft.... there is a new scheme where european hackers send out say 1000 emails... about 10 unfortunate souls respond...
they then take these 10 stolen identities and make fake ATM cards...
next they recruit people in the US (which is becoming much easier because of the economy) to zero out the accounts... the recruit gets a cut, and the rest gets sent to the hackers..
this tactic is picking up so much momentum that the FBI is now involved...they try to catch the little guy (hire him/her) and then they rat out the big fish ....
ID theft companies IS BECOMING ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING INDUSTRIES....and potential revenue is ENORMOUS...
so it is better to get it done right, than fast.
