I am not a lawyer either so I have no way to know how many suits get settled that way nor why this one was settled in that manner. IF it was settled and had anything to do with SPNG management doing any of those things in the last paragraph, I don't think that is a good thing. It would seem that a defendant in this case would insist on that, however, since both agreed to it, I question SPNG's motivation for doing it.

"with prejudiced" as I understand it does mean that the issue has been dealt with and finalized and cannot ever be brought up again by either party.
