Yeah, just like the TA fiasco. Apparently the plan is to make themselves look as incompetent as possible. At which point the offshore hedge funds, operating on behalf of the CIA convince the evil MMs to short the company even further. The hedge funds get the money, and the CIA prevents Urbie from becoming the most powerful (yet benevolent) being in the history of the universe.

Meanwhile the mafia, which has been losing money due the inception of internet gaming, has also shorted the stock and has planted an operative at the party to prevent the baloon drop of all baloon drops from happening. Additionally, the SEC wants Urbie to fail because once CMKX makes it's run to da moon no one will want to trade anymore because the stockplay of a lifetime is over and what's the point anymore, and then the entire SEC, not to mention the bashers, would be out of work.

I think I get it now
