BCSC has a great web site, answers pretty well all questions.

FWIW I've found a couple of OTC issues that I tried to buy just to flip on a momo and TDW warning popped up that if I was resident of BC I couldn't trade them. Never really bothered to find out why, both were I believe Vancouver companies trading on the OTC...wish I could remember symbols, one was TTRsomethingsomethingF.. I think.
