4xcsl, any Wave-bundled SED comes standard with the full version of ETS including TDM. Therefore any Vostro model w/ SED comes with all the Wave software, TPM or not.

If ETS w/ TDM is used to manage an SED, the same would have to be used to manage a TPM. I don't think it's even possible to run Wave to manage an SED and Infineon to manage a TPM, both on the same platform, but who'd want that anyways? It would be ridiculous to use two different consoles.

What I'm curious about is, when ETS is installed on an HP machine, is the HP (Infineon-based) TPM management part of HP ProtectTools deleted or does it remain on the platform dormant?

HP I believe, pre-installs their TPM management software (Infineon-based), factory images it onto every TPM-fitted machine...it's part of HP ProtectTools. Lenovo though used to not pre-install the TPM management software (their own IBM-based), making it available instead as a download. Dell of course DOES pre-install (factory image) all Wave software on any machine that either comes with a TPM or is ordered w/ an SED.
