Sure, the hazard of relying on foreign sources of energy is reason enough to develop energy independence. But you cannot deny this: if man-caused carbon emissions are proven not to be the reason for rising temperatures (and you may question the fact that temperatures are rising if you like), then RECs will become worthless. Just read this:

The rationale for RECs is to reduce carbon emissions. What do you think the subtraction of REC revenues would do to LLEG's bottom line (assuming LLEG does in fact begin to produce electricity as proposed)?
