My recent experience with Fedex will be my last. Fedex has a ground service and also a smart post service. So retailers offer Fedex Ground but it's really something called smart post.

So you think you will receive your item fairly quickly because it's Fedex. Well my experience makes a joke of Fedex ground since my item now after a week has been passed through a system involving Fedex containers hauled around and some items like mine to small to bother with passed off onto USPS. So after a week of searching for my item Fedex says they gave it the post office and the post office says they don't have it.

In the meantime I paid more than priority mail for this great Fedex service which involved shipping an item which weighed about 1 1/2 lbs a distance of about 90 miles.

Regardless Fedex Smart post I'm told by Fedex can take up to 12 days. This is for an item if shipped USPS Priority I would have had in 3 days but probably in less and for less money.

What's the deal well apparently the retailer gets some really cheap rate with Fedex and then that makes Fedex look like an idiot because I don't know what the deal is and the retailer says well we shipped it Fedex Ground. However they didn't tell the truth and the bad guy is both of them. If I were Fedex I wouldn't ruin my name with this crap and the real idiot is USPS who is helping out Fedex pull this crap off and taking money away from themselves.
