Tampa dealing away Zambrano was a steal for them what they got in return.
Watched that kid pitch.
Nerves of steal not intimadated by anyone.
The youngster they got is future star material if he keeps his head on straight.
With a one more minimum pitcher need, two really good pitchers and two more heavy hitters I believe your thoughts about them not being able to compete will not hold valid.

I watched Lou manage in Seattle for years.

I watched him suck talents out of players who didn't even know they existed.

Watched him bring a team together to compete beyond their talent level.

I agree about the small market/big market problem.

I feel your pain. LOL!

I watched Seattle for 18 years be a farm team to MLB.
I know exactly what you are talking about.

The question is will TB's new ownership partner invest along with original owners to keep the stars or will they become like the Mariners use to be?

We shall find that answer out shortly.

They keep original nucleous and I think you'd be surprised what 20 mill more in Lou's hands would do to counter big/small market situation.
