Magnitude 6.5 Quake Hits Off Coast Of British Columbia-NOAA

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake occurred in the Queen Charlotte Islands region off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, the NOAA's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported Tuesday. The quake struck at a depth of 13 kilometers at 1531 Universal Time. There is no widespread destructive tsunami threat from the earthquake, the report said.
