like a leaf on the edge of a mighty river, we ride. beautiful day

torrents are exciting, look'n forward to the white water rapids

( floated down the grand canyon once - drove down alone from Co. hiked to the bottom of hermit rapids, 10 miles - full moon - next day, ran into friends on a month long raft trip - they were 10 days into it. jumped aboard for 4 days,,,,turned into 11. within an hour of alighting on the biggest raft, with the biggest man, and the smallest girl, we went through crystal rapids. my job was to keep the nose of the boat DOWN. ( all 132 # of me ) i'll never forget looking up from the bottom of one certain swell, and the waves were at least 12' above and around us. then i puked out the 3year old canned salmon i had for breakfast. BUT, it did cure my hydrophobia. )
