Loop...Thanks for posting the info on "safe harbor". I had been an investor in a company called Cheyenne Software 10-12 years back. They got acquired by Computer Associates, and I remember there was an issue about buybacks. I just can't recall the specifics. At any rate, I do believe that that is what is going on with IDCC. If I had to guess, I would say we will be the acquirer, not the acquiree.
Also, for those getting upset about the Roath sales, I think you are going a little overboard. It is impossible for anyone to draw any definitive, real conclusion. No one on this board knows what is going on in his life. There are myriad possible scenarios.
RE: rise in short interest. The price action after the ITC loss was reminiscent of many similar bear raids on the stock over the past decade. This time might be different. It appears that the short trade got overcrowded and now they may have their proverbial tit in the ringer. Also, I would have expected some kind of hatchet job by now. I.e., an accidental-on-purpose false story out Bangalore, feeding the down move. This seems to be happening less and less. Perhaps things are changing. I do hope.
