I do not quite understand what you are asking here:
"What will our current pps have to do with the merger (if there is one) to the future pps in your opinion?"
Ideally for the acquirer, the PPS should be as low as possible... but they also understand shareholder value.... (i am implying shares are being bought by DNPI (but CYSG could very well be buying shares back as well=very likely) its like slow methodical accumulation of shares
So when companies are in M & A talks/activities, the typical thing to do is set a target price range (if im not mistaken, because they have to take into account PPS fluctuation, and when dealing with pinkies and such drastic changes in PPS over night, they need to be very careful of not releasing anything to take the PPS out of their target price range)- until they are content with the amount of shares accumulated by whatever party is accumulating
