"Holy mackerel, Andy!" to coin a phrase. Kitco credits, at this moment, a whopping +$23.05 to "predominant" (ex USD) buying and only -$5.05 to strengthening of USD. So much for the oft told punditry of gold's rise as a "unidimensional" dollar-driven story. It's much more a fiat issue than a dollar issue.
