Fellow shareholders:
Just returned from the new Ferrari showroom here in Ft. Lauderdale. It is just up the street from me, about a 5 minute drive.
Figured if I went now I might see them setting up for the event tonight, and possibly meet someone representing INCA.
The showroom is first class, and I do not have to tell you about the cars....and there were many on the floor, all being polished for the event.
So, I just rambled on in there, in t-shirt, shorts and sandals (not your usual buyer's wardrobe, I am sure). People were running around all over, phone ringing...and it took a good five minutes before the receptionist was able to take my questions.
Did you ever have a very awkward moment? A VERY awkward moment?
I told her I heard about tonight's opening (she shook her head yes). And I asked her about the swimsuit show or swimsuit modeling that was going to take place. Do I look like an alien?
She looked at me as if I was nutso. She said she knew nothing about swimsuits at the opening of the Ferrari showroom. She was nice enough to get one of the owners over, and I asked him the same question.
He replied, "There are no swimsuits here tonight, where did you hear that?" I told him about the tweet and the website I read it on and he replied..."As far as I know, and I am the owner, there are no swimsuits here tonight. Anyone can put anything they want on a website. I am sorry.".
So, I figured I just might go back later in the evening, during the event, but he then added... "Tonight is an Invitation ONLY event. You cannot rsvp on a website to be invited, no matter what the posting said."
I thanked him and got caught in a downpour on the way back to my car, which looked kind of shabby compared to what I had just seen in the showrooms.
Sorry to report this news....but if INCA is there tonight, no one at Ferrari seems to know it.
