Did WMI own the Wamu Center or did WMB own it?

Between the headquarters and over 4000 retail bank locations, that is alot of $$ in real estate.

Of course, we still haven't seen a breakdown of the assets listed in the BK so maybe we shall soon see.


"Washington Mutual opened the building as its headquarters in 2006. When WaMu collapsed last year, JPMorgan Chase inherited the tower as part of its acquisition of WaMu's banking operations, then largely emptied the building through layoffs.

Northwestern Mutual bought the tower from Chase for $115 million, less than one-third of what it cost to build."
