Remember, they have no company income but what they take out of their own pockets. RRD hasn't paid the remaining 5.35mm. Likely the 1st million went towards unpaid obligations, the coal leases, legal fees, geological surveys, PRs, etc.

The glass factory presents the nearest source of income, and even not until probably next spring as far as RRD is concerned. IF, a capital IF, RRD would pay the 5.35mm they'd have funds to move forward elsewhere.

As far as whose working, they explained there are about 10 persons working in some way with all aspects. I doubt any, including Rick, even half time.
