Not all, but i'm guessing that almost all ID theft involves the fraudulent use of c/c's in one way shape or form, and if i'm not mistaken, if a victim of cc fraud can prove themselve's to be innocent,then they are not responsible for paying for the fraudulent charges and the cc co.eats it as a loss and/or pursues criminal charges against the guilty party...
You'd think the cc co's would have the most to gain by offering everyone of it's cardholders ID theft protection.
