While I understand and agree to a point with your Statement, I also feel feel it highly undervalues some looming truths and/or facts depending on how your look at it.
There are number of facts that in my mind remain undisputed but feel free to think and say otherwise.
When people think of the Atlantic city Casino Industry they think Trump Casinos almost solely. People who may not be avid gamblers or casino go'ers all know of and have heard of Trump Casino's. When People think of Casino's anywhere in the world they think of Trump Casinos along with number of other Las Vegas Casinos.
It is and has maintained Prominence in the sense of Market and Product world recognition. Is Atlantic City Vegas ? No! but its not a bad substitute with great potential, no where near the time of development of the Vegas Casinos have had and largely lead by Trump Casinos with 3 active Casinos and a newly built Chairman's tower at the Taj Mahal.
For the most part the Casino Industry as a whole is hurting Trump with whole Economic Down Turn and has been for some time. Trump is not alone in this, the entire Atlantic City Board walk and even Vegas Casinos have been hit with other notables being Station Casinos, The Riviera Casino and the Tropicana.
Trump Casinos have continued to expand even in hard markets and yes for the time incur losses but are still huge players in the Industry and for the long term I believe still a force to be reckoned with able to be profitable with solid leadership, good financing and great plan. The market and Economy are in full recovery and I think road to success for these types of companies close at hand and I think Trump Casinos/Trump Entertainment is going to be there! That's my thought anyway!
