Tenchu, - about Intel's huge manufacturing capacity. I think you are exactly right, this advantage is and always will be extremely important.

This is why AMD had to regroup and move to the high-end market, where capacity constraints are less harsh.

For example, suppose Xeon just magically disappear - AMD is perfectly capable to supply 100% of the server market with its current capacity, just give it 3 months to reallocate waifers. This market is what - about 3 million chips per quarter? AMD can easily make 3 million Opterons per quarter, starting Q1 next year.

Same for 3400-4000 speed grades in desktop market. AMD is capable to cover this market alone, without Intel.

Sure, they will have to drop Sempron, pity...
