Funny thing Awk is I was just about to post to myself having raised the question that putting the measurement hashes inside the CPU itself would be rather circular -- so that subsuming becomes less likely the more you think about it. Of course, I agree with you completely that the MEASUREMENT registers have to be managed and that is what Wave's software does.
