NO - TXT stands for Trusted EXecution Technology which is required for vPro virtualization and was formerly named LaGrange and much discussed on this board under that name several years ago.
To be as honest and clear as possible -- We knew that some of Wave's technology would be subsumed under the chip (Intel) and the OS (MSFT) At this point in time, the TPM - iTPM still exist outside the CPU and therefore needs to be managed. some of Wave's software still sits inside Intel and how the labor is currently divided or will be divided in the future is debatable. Meanwhile there is little reason to think that Wave's role in TPM management has not been subsumed or worked around to any serious degree. If I'm wrong then I'm sure the technologically saavy bashers will have their say. If they know something relevant, (beyond generalities) I'd like to hear it. Clarifying the current situation re: Intel and subsuming with Brian or Lark would be worthwhile.
