All the research I have done suggests a single payer system is the best way to go when looking at all the other advanced Democracies and their systems. Hell, when you have people calling Obama's policies "Socialist" and at the same time holding a sign of the president looking like Hitler, you kinda have to wonder how smart these people really are. I doubt they could conduct any kind of research, at least from an educated sense. Hell.. confusing Socialism with Fascism is a pretty easy thing to do.. if your an idiot.
I would have to agree with the poll numbers. I live in Texas, a conservative State, and I hear more people supporting a single payer or public option more times than I hear against it. Most people can use Google nowadays, doesn't take much effort to research these different systems.
Don't worry, having a single payer or public option isn't going to cause the good ole U.S. to become a Socialist country where we will all be standing in line for bread. We happen to be the only advanced, modern Democracy on the planet that doesn't have universal health care. That is a point I'm surprised nobody points out.
