LEXINGTON, Ky., Sep 16, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wicklund Holding Company (Pink Sheets: WKDH) announced today that it has initiated discussions with the inventor and patent holders of a plastic rebar product with the objective of obtaining exclusive rights to that product. The company believes that this new plastic rebar could completely replace traditional steel rebar.
The innovative plastic rebar has many advantages over steel rebar, which is commonly used in the construction of almost every structure, including its light weight, reduced cost and the ability of the hollow product to carry fluids, glass or fiber optics, wires, etc. Since the product is co-extruded, any defamation can be applied during the manufacturing process.
