so, looking back at the discussion, the point was whether 802.11 or 16 is royalty bearing...you have shown that a device that includes a covered standard that also has 802.11 or 16 capability is royalty bearing....along with the everything else that goes in the box....pretty much what I said now isn't it? B^)

But 802.11 or 802.16 standards by themselves are not royalty bearing under the licenses we have....which was the original question. They are NOT included in the covered standards.

re: auditors.....lol - they are now busier than ever and expect it to become even more in depth (think I might know one???)...and to clarify yet again for you, they are NOT QUALCOMM auditors, but a 3rd party. Their jobs will be more important than ever to Qualcomm if/when they enact the recognition model change.

Regarding having a hardcopy 2G confidential license.....wow! how did an investor get one of those??? Does the company know? Too bad you couldn't have shared some of the info in it, like the rate, covered standards, exclusions, etc.....might have saved a few people here a nickle or 2.
