Americans are creatures of habit, we love to spend. Although I imagine some sense of saving will continue, we'll eventually fall back into our usual habits. It all depends on what city you're in, what store you're in, what side of town, what day of week. With all that said, it's hard to understand the "savings" thing from my perspective in some of the stores I've been in. I couldn't believe how busy Sams Club was during the worst of this "crisis" and other than certain select items, you don't usually walk out of there saving alot, things are typically more expensive in bulk and soda/food wise, not alot of deals in there, it's a matter of convenience!!

Once people realize the world isn't ending, and everything still looks the same when I walk out my door and drive down the road....we'll get out there and spend some money. Everyone can exit the nuclear bunkers now, course since you shut down your spending you have no where to spend it, they all closed!! I blame the media for some of it, and the audience watching it not having enough sense to cut through alot of the bs and fear mongering/apocalyptic tones.

Everything will be fine, all will be well....housing will recover all in good time, banks will be fine all in good time....they won't happen fast, that's common sense. But half of this problem to me is too much negativity and irrationality of the media and audience watching it.

Just my view, always been my view....
