Since Nokia andIDCC disagree on infringement and the ITC judge has ruled in Nokia's favor, it is curious that all assume Nokia will finally agree to pay a fee for using patents they don't infringe.I also find Tom Carpenter's opinion (below)interesting since there is nothing known to the public that supports his view (at this time)

"We reiterate our Buy rating, but are lowering our price target by $2, to $36. We are positive on InterDigital’s ability to sign 3G licensing agreements with Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola (if it remains a viable handset manufacturer). We believe InterDigital’s case against Nokia at the ITC, ultimately results in a settlement."

Lastly, I was able to pull three of the four patents off the net but patent 6,693,579 (one of the four listed in ITC documents) has nothing to do with wireless communications. It is a Lexmark patent for inkjets.
